Nature

This is going to be a mostly picture post. I should probably wait for wordless Wednesday but I will save a couple for that and post most of them now. I really have been doing nothing...It's been a very boring experience so far. I go to class, I sleep, I play games, I talk to people online and that's about it. I did go to the international coffee hour once last week and hung out with friends that same day but other than that I've just been trying to find activities to fill my day. I go for a walk a couple times a day and always take my camera just in case. Here are some of the pictures I took on those walks. I have met 3 kitties so far and my favorite one I can never get a picture of. Maybe I will find him/her next time I'm out but it is a very sweet lap kitty and it makes my day when I'm able to see him/her.
Foggy Day (looked a lot prettier in person)
 Crows everywhere

 Found a bat box :)

Little woodpecker? One of my bird specialists will have to let me know ~_^

Halloween!

Sorry again for the lack of posts. I'm really slacking on my blogging. I feel less and less motivated to do anything everyday. It's really annoying. I did have a really good Halloween though. My friend and I went to Reutlingen (about 10 minutes by train) to look for Halloween costumes/makeup. Because I am a big kid I wanted to go look in the toy store in the "mall" there (their malls are so tiny can't really call it that). Well guess what they had in the toy store, Halloween stuff! Only about 3 costumes, a few accessories and a little bit of makeup but it was better than nothing. I was able to get some of that really crappy grease paint and some white face paint and my friend got some fake blood. I also really needed a watch and some boots because all of my shoes were not water resistant and it has been snowing and raining a lot. I was able to find a knock off of those ($100+) Ice watches for 9€. I had only found 50€+ boots in Tübingen and they were only ankle boots. In Reutlingen I found a nice, flat heeled, knee high, black leather type boots for only 28€! They are very comfortable too. I wear them all day and my feet are fine. I have a couple pair of boots at home but I can only wear them for a couple hours before my feet are killing me. I think boots in the US are only made for looks. At least that's all I can find. So for around 40€ I got knee high boots, a nice watch, and Halloween makeup. Not too bad even when converted to dollars. That's my big shopping spree for my time in Germany haha I'm not really a clothes shopping person. I buy what I need and that's pretty much it. They did have a lot of really cheap clothing shops there so if I wanted to get a new outfit it would probably only cost me around 20€ for a top and pants. Maybe for my birthday or something but no time soon.

Found some other Sugar Skulls :)
 Crazy amount of people

 Me and Victoria

Walter White and Jessie (from Breaking Bad) :D

For Halloween that same friend and I (Victoria) went to the party held at my apartment complex. They were having a costume only party which was great since I didn't think I would see anyone else dressed up. I did Victoria's zombie makeup for her after I spent an hour working on my sugar skull makeup. I think it turned out pretty good for having crappy grease paint that never dries. The party was pretty fun but there were some really dumb people there shoving each other and messing up the decorations...but you always get people like that at parties. I got tired of these stupid girls shoving everyone though and ended up leaving. We met a lot of nice people too and talked a lot. One girl tried to hook me up with her guy friend which was flattering but also awkward haha . After the party Victoria had to leave so she could catch the train back to Reutlingen where she lives. Then I just talked to people online and played games all night.

That's about it except for my placement test I took for my intensive German course. The talking part was a lot easier than I thought. It was just a simple conversation with a teacher and that was all. The writing test on the other hand was very hard. I don't think I did very good on that part but it's only to see your current skill level so I'm not too worried. I know once I get back into a regular class that I will pick it up faster. I hate these 2 days a week classes. I don't feel like I'm learning anything and I have so much free time. I like being forced to work because otherwise I will not. I will just read books or play on my free time instead of studying but I will have homework and studying in my intensive class. I might be able to come home over my break between winter and summer semesters. That would be a nice break and I was able to find a round trip ticket for under $800 which is very cheap. A friend and I were supposed to go to that anime convention in Berlin this weekend but our ride canceled on us last minute. I was really disappointed but it will save me money to fly home and maybe I can find something closer to go to. We will see. Well that's pretty much it for now. I will try to post more often.
